Actions

As an alternative to a long and tedious traditional PowerPoint presentation, which was necessitated by social distancing measures at the time, our game aimed to provide a fun, interactive way for prospective students to get a glimpse of daily life in the DSAA program before they apply.

01
Documentation

We began by collecting narrative materials for the game through free-writing sessions during which, we asked ourselves what we would have liked to know before sending our application to the DSAA.

02
Production

We camed up with a list of question and answers and began integrating it to the global scenario: A person exploring the spaces of the DSAA with its people and unique objects.

03
Test & Delivery

The last phase were testing the game and get feedbacks from our classemate,s before launching it on the school server for the presentation day.

Results

DSAA Pocket was a hit not only for prospective students of the DSAA but also for our classmates, as it not only promote the diversity of our academic art projects (from flying drone to making kombucha) but also, represented the essence and personality of our promotion.

The results also underscores the need for gamification and humor in communication, especially during time of uncertainty such as COVID-19.
