Brief

Every year, the Cité de l'Espace in Toulouse organizes nighttime visits to celebrate La Nuit des Étoiles (in English "The Starry Nights"), an event launched by the French Astronomy Association. This event welcomes familie and children. As part of my diploma project, I designed a series of educational mini-games for children aged 7 to 12.

Project type: Serious Game, Academic Project
Role: Game designer
Industry: Serious Game, Museum, Science & Culture
Tool: Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects
Year: 2018

User Research

First, I conducted a study of the client (La Cité de l'Espace), the target audience (ages 7 to 12), and a competitive benchmark (focusing on youth content publishers).

Ideation

Next, I worked on the game design with differents drawing techniques and created storyboards to explore game mechanics.

Prototype

Once the game universe and mechanics were defined, I produced the game's graphic system and created animation with After Effect to demonstrate the final game's functionality.
